Twice we have lost two officers simultaneously (partners). The first time in 1993 and the second time in 2007. They were 25 and 26-years-old and 34 and 35-years-old. One officer and his wife were awaiting the birth of their second son. It was a terribly dark day for the city of Charlotte and I remember it like it was yesterday. I don’t want to forget. We owe these officers that much. You are all heroes.
