About the novel - it's not as 'gawd-awful' as I made it out to be, but it's no where near ready enough to be shopped around for an agent. Let's see if I can get it to the next stage and beat some some pretty steep odds ;)

I actually started my New Year's resolution in October 2009 and lost 13 lbs. That to say, there is no better time like the present to start on making improvements in one's life. All the best in the New Year to you and PD Hondo!! Stay safe!

Back in 1993 I set out to write the mystery novel that I had been carrying in my head for years and that was screaming to get out. I wrote three chapters and a prologue. I think they kick butt; problem is I never wrote a fourth chapter. I have a great deal of admiration for anyone who actually worked through the angst and pain of the literary birthing process and got it done--congratulations!

That is a good way of looking at a new year, I like it much better than resolutions. I'll have to think over what my lessons-into-actions will be.
