Good story. But always frustrating to see not a word directed at the drug dealers. We see all these VPD alerts about "dangerous criminals" who assaulted one or two people, or who walked away from a halfway house. And virtually nothing about the real killers who are swimming in cash while destroying hundreds of lives and forcing the public to waste millions of dollars on police, ambulance, and social services, let alone dealing with enormous theft rates.

JF - we have gloves, but at the time the incident happened (several years ago) we did not have masks or first aid kits.

Wow...that's really intense. Thank you for sharing it. The new style is really effective as well.

Are you guys given masks and gloves? Working where I do (parking by-law, security), I always carry a small First Aid kit with me. But this does give me pause. I've thought about what I would do if I ever came across someone in need of CPR who could potentially have any one of the horrible diseases floating around out there on the streets. Where I work (across the water), it's pretty rampant in some areas of town. I'm the type that would likely jump in to help right away...but yeah. What they say during those First Aid courses (always make sure YOU are safe first and foremost) really is important, isn't it?

I enjoyed the change in writing style.

And don't feel bad about the CPR. New rules say forget the breathing anyway, and just pump away.
